OFFICE PROCEDURES


We offer a multitude of procedures to keep you healthy.  These procedures provide you safe, efficient, lower cost alternatives with the staff you are familiar with.  From diagnostic testing to treatment procedures to remove disease, we can provide you all these options at our locations throughout San Antonio without the added time and expense of of hospital systme.  

Procedures we offer in our office locations include:

​-Colposcopy
​       A procedure using a low power microscope to evaluate for cause of abnormal pap smears caused by Human Papilloma Virus.  These abnormalities called dysplasia can eventually lead to cervical cancer.  

-Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP) and LLETZ
      A diagnostic and therapeutic procedure to remove a diseased area of cervix to prevent  cervical cancer.

-Diagnostic Hysteroscopy
This procedure involves inserted at sterile camera into the vagina and cervix to search for disease. This procedure can be used for:
        -cause of abnormal or heavy menstrual bleeding

        -search for cause of bleeding after menopause
        -look for cause of infertility, abnormal cavity
        -investigate cause for repeated miscarriages
        -find polyps, fibroids or scar tissue
        -locate misplaced intrauterine devices
 

-Multi-Channel Urodynamic studies
        Mutichannel Urodynamic studies is a comprehensive study to evaluate the type of urinary incontinence, bladder capacity, voiding ability guidance in choosing the right type of treatment to help correct the leaking of urine and regain control of your life.  See more information on our bladder health tab. 

CRYOTHERAPY

        This procedure is a freezing treatment used to remove abnormal cells from the cervix or gential warts.  This procedure allows us to remove unsightly and sometimes painful lesions without causing scarring.  These lesions are caused by exposure to a variant of HPV also known as Human Papilloma Virus.  Some strains are associated with cancer of the cervix, vagina or vulvar area.  Prompt recognition and treatment are key to good outcomes.
